Gorgeous metal hinged vintage gold chocolate box, in great condition considering age
Tjoklat was a well-known Dutch chocolate company founded in 1924, in Amsterdam by Willem Cornelis Sickesz junior. Originally named the Hollandsch-Zwitsersche Chocoladefabriek (Dutch-Swiss Chocolate Factory), it grew rapidly and became famous under the brand name Tjoklat, which is the old Malay word for "chocolate". This box is likley from the 1940s.
